National Liaison Committee for International Students in Australia Incorporated, more widely known as NLC, is the peak representative body for all Overseas Students in Australia. The grand purpose of NLC is to uplift the spirits of Overseas students for self awareness and culture identity by demanding equal rights & respect and increasing fair share of representation & influences in all relevant Australian education institutions.
NLC was formed in 1986 through the amalgamation of various state-based international student organisation across Australia to combat the introduction of the Overseas Student full-fee paying program. Since then, NLC has been the voice of the Overseas Student community for advocacy and lobbying.
