NLC is serving international students since 1986.
Rapid progress within the organization and increased responsibility, it
became necessary for NLC to have a set of guidelines that assists its
members to contribute positively towards the welfare of international
students.
NLC is committed to serve professionally and with high standards to
ensure that international students in Australia have an enriching
student experience. Also, to raise standards of professionalism within
the international student community and set example for other student
organizations, NLC has developed this code of practice. The objective
of code of practice is to provide NLC and its members the direction and
guidance when required.
NLC and its members pledge to work for the betterment of international
students in Australia and they will make conscious effort to follow the
NLC code of practice.
NLC and its members agree that they will work with high level of
competence integrity, fairness and honesty. When faced by ethical
dilemmas, NLC members will work with the utmost integrity and honesty.

NLC consider its primary responsibility is to the international students andinternational student organisations.

NLC must constantly endeavour to educate and represent international
students and international students organization effectively in order
to maintain their trust.

International students’ requirements must be answered promptly and accurately.

NLC’s partners must have an opportunity to be listened, supported and benefited.

NLC while serving international students should respect institutional and governmental policies and appropriate laws.

NLC is responsible to its stakeholders, international students and
international students organisation’s that entrust NLC with the
responsibility to represent them.

NLC must be aware of means to help fulfil their needs and responsibilities.

Every international student must feel free to make suggestions and complaints.

There must be an equal opportunity for every international students
group for representation, cooperation and development within the NLC.

NLC must promote equality, fairness and cultural understanding.

We must provide competent representation and our conduct must be just and ethical.

and acknowledge work done for international students and international
students organisations.
