National Liaison Committee for International Students (NLC), the national peak body for International Students in Australia, proudly announces the launch of International Students Day on 1 May 2010 at Sydney Town Hall.

1 May is the International Students Day for the International Students Community in Australia. NLC celebrates the special occasion with our annual NLCampaign launch. The national cross-campus campaign is launched from 1 May to 8 August for a consecutive 100 days.

During the campaign, NLC national office lobbies all relevant federal, state and local government agencies to address the primary concerns of the International Students Community, and works with industry stakeholders to support the annual campaign theme while our OSA Campus operations bring the message directly to their respective educational institutions and International Students on campus.

NLCampaign 2010: Multicultural Community Support for International Student Safety

On 1 May 2010, NLC will hold the International Students Day event in Sydney. The venue has been confirmed at Lower Town Hall for 300 attendees including national media organisations. Multicultural Community Leaders; Consul-Generals, Deputy Consul-Generals and Education Consuls; politicians from Multicultural Community and International Student representatives from all around Australia are attending.

Chinese Students Association (CSA), Indian Students Association (ISA) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) are the foundation members of National Liaison Committee, serving as three pillars to support our national platform. Multicultural Community is taking the leading role to support International Students Safety.
