2008 marked the 23rd anniversary of NLC Annual Conference (NLCAC), the longest running international education conference in Australia.
The annual conference has always been a long-held tradition in the International Students Community since its inception in 1986.
The NLCAC 2008 was transformed from a campus based event to become the major NLCommunity event. It was held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre between 6-8 October, 2008.
The conference theme was "Empowering Students: Representation Autonomy, Education Quality & Welfare Assurance". It served as a platform for participating delegates to discuss the current issues and future direction to formulate constructive strategies aimed to enhance education experience for International Students.
The NLCAC 2008 was attended by Studenteam members from major Australian education institutions and outstanding International Students delegates nominated & sponsored by their institutions¡¯ senior management in ensuring the interests & concerns of their students were represented during this national conference.
