On the national level, NLC is the peak representative body for all International Students in Australia.

On the campus level, NLC fully supports Overseas Students Association (OSA) as the peak representative body for International Students at educational institutions.

OSAs are by International Students, for International Students. They are run by democratically elected International Student representatives in the OSAssembly, who have been voted in by their International Student peers.

By affiliating under NLC, all OSAs make up the collective International Students network that covers the entire nation. It is with this collective force that the International Students voice can no longer be ignored.

As the national peak body, NLC guarantees the independence and autonomy of OSAs. OSAs are empowered to administer fair share of funding allocation towards services targeting International Students.

NLC supports OSAs by ensuring OSAssembly Members are part of the decision-making process by have access to the top management of their educational institutions.

NLC organises national and cross campus NLCulture OSActivities, NLCampaigns, and NLConventions which will gather together OSAssembly Members from all over Australia.
